Boston Park Farm is a superb day out with the family in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. We ended up spending three hours there but you could easily spend longer with older children too. There’s just so much to do and see! The play areas are designed for toddlers, babies and children up to about 10 years old.

Opening Times and Tickets
Boston Park Farm is open daily from 10am till 4pm, and extend their opening times till 5pm in school holidays, event days and weekends through the Summer.
Babies under 1 years old go free, and prices are slightly different during peak times and non-peak times. The Maize Maze is included in your ticket when it is open during the Summer months.
Click here for more information about ticket prices and opening times.
Parking and Travelling
There is a large car park right by the entrance to Boston Park Farm.
However the farm is not on a bus route, making it quite difficult to get to without a car. The nearest bus stop is around a 19 minute walk away, in Lindholme.
Accessibility and Prams
Most of the ground at Boston Park Farm is grass, which can get muddy and then tricky for anything with wheels to travel over! Other than that, the farm is very pram and wheelchair friendly and we managed to access all areas of the site with our pram (which our toddler didn’t get in once as he was too busy running around). There are also good baby changing facilities and nearly all the toilets are big enough to fit a wheelchair in. They have designated disabled toilets too.
Things to do at Boston Park Farm
1. Meet the Animals
Especially if you buy the animal feed, all the animals are very friendly and eager to meet new people. There are goats, donkeys, ponies, alpacas, sheep, chickens and lots more. many of them appreciated a little stroke or chin tickle, and it was lovely to watch my 1 year old grow in confidence around them through the day. At certain times, the farm also lets you stroke the rabbits and guinea pigs too. They were very soft and gentle!

2. Indoor Play
I could not believe how many different areas for playing there was at Boston Park Farm! The first one I saw was the play barn, which had a bouncy castle and a little play kitchen. Then there was an indoor sandpit and a soft play area with two tiers. This is in the cafe, so you can relax with a coffee while your little ones play. I can imagine this being quite busy at peak times, but we visited later in the day and almost had it to ourselves.
3. Outdoor Play
Our toddler made a beeline for the tractor track, which had a great array of cars and bikes for all sizes. Naturally, he wanted to climb on the ones far too big for him but still had a great time. Right besides the tractors is a large play area with a climbing frame, slide and lots of balancing obstacles. Around the corner, there are even more play areas, with three completely different climbing frames, swings, a stack of hay bales to climb, and a perfect little climbing frame for toddlers. Our one year old spent ages on this, going round and round and loving the little slide.
